Site issues:

  • Site transition from Opencart CMS system to a self-written site written in the Python programming language
  • Previously, the site worked only in one language - Russian. The task is to properly optimize the Ukrainian version of the site
  • Changing the structure of the site for better usability. After changing the structure, it was necessary to give search time to work on a full page reindexing
  • Long loading time for the site. Therefore, it was not possible to do proper technical optimization due to technical problems

The client previously worked with Golden Web Digital on SEO promotion, but the site constantly had technical difficulties. The specialists tried to eliminate them on their own, but over time it became impossible and the client agreed to switch to a self-written resource. During the creation of the site, SEO specialists worked closely with the project developers and gave their advice and wishes so that in the future the site would be well indexed by search engines and the relevant Google algorithms, in particular:

  • Correctly setting the canonical attribute to avoid further duplication of pages.
  • removing html headings on site pages, as they can only be used for promotional purposes, and writing all key queries yourself.
  • correct configuration of the site mirror to avoid duplicate sites.
  • and others.

During the development phase, we developed a logical structure for the site that was easily implemented on this project. This structure was also taken into account when creating the site design.

A strategy was created for the transfer, which included the following list of works:

  • setting up redirects on all pages of the site - about 600 pages
  • blog migration to save results - 100 articles
  • blog translation into Ukrainian
  • creating a correct robots.txt file
  • page optimization, including creating a technical task to create unique content using relevant semantics, writing most of the site's meta tags (title, description), as well as alt attributes for images, creating html headings relevant to each page.

After the site was created, Golden Web specialists carried out the above-mentioned work, after which a full re-audit of the site was performed. The screenshot shows the indexing results obtained after the transfer.

After the site was moved and opened for indexing, a detailed crawl was performed, which showed us that 99% of all pages made it to the index and 99% with a 200 OK response code.

The 2x server response category is the "Success" category. This category informs users about a positive result. Accordingly, the "200 OK" code will tell users that their request was completed successfully. Today, all search engines index resources and links that give a 200 response code to requests. The search engine, it's like this: the page really exists, mark it, it can be included in the index database.

There is always something to strive for and something to improve. Therefore, the next steps for SEO specialists will be to improve the site's position in search results, as well as increase organic traffic and the number of orders.

In the first three months after the site launch, we plan to continue working on the site's main queries using internal and external optimization, as well as partially expand the semantics with which we will work.
