Google has released a new type of Performance max, known to us as Maximum Efficiency.
The main feature of the "Maximum Efficiency" implementation is that they can search for buyers in all places where ads are placed on Google. The algorithm selects the placement itself. Ads can be displayed in search, in networks, recommendations, Gmail, YouTube and Google Maps, Discover.
On 02/22/2022, in the client's advertising account, where the Google Shopping smart advertising campaign is running (it has been running for 3 years), we set up Performance max.
Since this period coincided with the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, advertising budgets for advertising campaigns had to be adjusted.
We began a phased restoration of work in the account in March 2022.
Working with small budgets and during the war, we managed to achieve good results.


With approximately the same budget, Performance Max yielded 76% more order content and 74% more order amount.
The cost of going to the site is 0.25 UAH compared to 0.75 UAH for any reasonable one.
Such results cannot but inspire, and now we continue to implement Performance Max on our clients' projects.
Automated campaigns provide time for creating ads while allowing you to show users more relevant ads, as well as increase the return on advertising.
But in each project, it is important to monitor whether there is a traffic overflow from old patients to new ones in a specific project.
We see online advertising changing towards automation and machine learning, and we believe that the new Performance Max campaigns, along with other automated user formats, are the most effective way to optimize ads and increase conversion rates and reach.
Even during the difficult war period, advertising results with small budgets yielded good results.
